I have a problem and I hope someone can help.
I ride a 94 Fatboy and it has a problem with the clutch or tranny (not sure). The problem is that I am unable to shift to nuetral while the bike is on... meaning i have to hold on to the clutch no matter what while the bike is on. Basically, the only time that it can be in nuetral while the bike is on is when I start it in nuetral. Once the engine is running and i put it in gear, I cant get it into nuetral again until I turn it off... I've rode it like this for 2 years just procrastinating really. Its not that big of a problem I just hold on to the clutch... but it can be a bit of a hassle.
Does someone know what the problem is? Input is definitely appreciated
Lex, welcome to the HDF, and for your question why not post it on the tech forum " tranny / clutch " I bet you will find an answer there .Good luck and ride safe !
Howdy From Dallas. Though it takes some maneuvering, try (parked somewhere) using your right hand for clutch, and reach down and try to hit N w/your left hand. If that works, it just could be hypersensitive and the rumble gives it the extra movement to miss neutral w/your heavier foot.
