Anyway, I've been around Harley's all my life; my dad's been riding since the mid-70s & currently owns an '02 Softail Heritage Classic, every job I've ever had's been loaded with people with HDs from all walks of life, & my wife rides an '04 Springer. My wife & I went to our local HD dealer one day just to get a quart of oil for her bike. While she was doing that, I walked around to see what was the latest & greatest & came across the '09 X Bones. I fell in love with it instantly because it wasn't too chromed out, looks like an older bike, black with just enough chrome to keep it from being too murdered out, & just for the simple fact it's a softail. A salesman told me that particular HD was having a "competitor bike trade-off" event. I just so happened to have an '82 CB750F sitting in my garage doing absolutely nothing---so we went in for a quart of oil & came out with the credit app for the X Bones & the rest is history(with a funny story of getting the 750 to HD, but that's another story!).
Well, before I bore anyone with stories, here's some snaps:

Here's our rides- my wife's '04 Springer from Gutteridge HD in Danville IL. It's actually what I call the "100th Anniversary Clone" as Gutteridge must've had a crapload of 100th Anniversary badges left over & covered her bike with it before she bought it. Next to it's the X Bones. She calls her bike Freedom & I call mine the Bone Crusher.

Quick shot of my bike. Bought it from Precision HD in Pawtucket, RI. I just a couple of small goodies for it in the past few weeks. I've got the Willie G. timer & derby cover, Screamin' Eagle SP wires, & the smoked signal lenses. I'm working on getting some pipes & 1 or 2 other goodies for now(yeah......see how well that works!), & just take it easy.
