Default Help us...Dont mess with us.

I joined this forum yesterday,

Im fairly new to street riding and very new to this forum.

Ive noticed a lot of "We went riding with this guy!" threads

Its a bit disturbing to me....Its like every one on the forum just hoped on a bike and was the best rider that ever lived.

I think that is crap...

You may may be good rider....better than me...but im sure that that came with time and milage.

So how about a bit of " I went riding with this guy that wasnt up to par and I showed him how to.".....

Im new to the street bike scene.. I grew up riding dirt bikes in the woods ect....I didnt hold up the group....some times they hold me up.....

Riding is a thing that we love....And if you love it then you will respect it and help the little guy...

Why does the guy who has ben riding wheeelies for the last 10 years have to talk crap about the guy who wants to learn......

To me its just not right...I think we should help the guy who wants it.....dont knock him...I ride decent and safe...Its the know it all in the group who make our rides unsafe......help the new guy....dont hinder him,

Welcome to the forum
Im fairly new to street riding and very new to this forum.
We all were at some point and time,..enjoy it
Its like every one on the forum just hoped on a bike and was the best rider that ever lived
Some people take to it like a duck in the water, but best that ever lived, I doubt it, not everyone anyway, they all can't be.
but im sure that that came with time and milage
For most yes, but a lot that have years and mega miles make rookie mistakes
So how about a bit of " I went riding with this guy that wasnt up to par and I showed him how to."
For some that sounds simple, but everyone learns at a different rate, yes some advice could not hurt, unless you are one that doesn't listen.
Riding is a thing that we love
I think that describes 99.9% of the members here
Why does the guy who has ben riding wheeelies for the last 10 years have to talk crap about the guy who wants to learn
Personally I have never been a fan of the wheelie and condone the practice every chance I get.

If in fact you are new to street riding, perhaps a riders advantage course and/or the ride like a pro dvd would assist you in learning some of the finer points to being safe and insure that you continue to enjoy the experience for many years to come.

Thanks for getting what im saying

I took the MSFC...I loved it.

I am just pointing out all the post (i joined yesterday) that i read about the new guy that "did this or that"...

In my world I try and educate the guy that doesnt know....not get on a forum and talk trash about him.....

Im sure there are many who help...

You are right when you say that some just wont listen....I agree 100% and wouldnt want that guy riding in my group because he may be a danger.....

The reason for this post is that i want the know it alls to step back and realize that they didnt always know it all....and that maybe they could help a rookie become a better rider....I love riding and im a rookie...Ive taken the safty course and it was a blast and i can ride (corners and all) and stay in my lane.....

I just dont get the guys and girls who have been riding a while that think that they are so good and the rest of us suck....They sucked once too..

Welcome Rick and don't let the smack talkers get you down, for every guy or gal that has to prove their superiority you will find fifty guys and gals that just enjoy the ride and provide some helpful tips on riding and maintaining your bike. The folks you are talking about enjoy spinning the rest of us up, look for the positive posts and enjoy, there is a butt load of good information on here. Again, welcome.

Welcome to HDF.

And about the guys who post that dribble. I don't even read it. It's about making someone look bad to make themselves look better. And what they are bragging about teaching the guy is probably something they learned the day before.

Like you been on dirt bikes since 5 but I also been on street since 16. 27 years on the road and I still learn things. And 3 years ago I took the MSF. Learned a lot there too.

Learn to ignore the chest thumpers.

I owe my safe start to ABATE and encourage everybody to start there. They willnot guarantee no accidents, but you will have a great foundation for the new rider. I was a new rider last year and owe thanks to more experienced riders who took me under their wings to get me where I am today...still unexperienced like most here but willing to learn from others.
Welcome from very HOT Indy! It's a great place to hang out when not ridding!
