Just sitting here listening to a little Bob Seger and thought I would pop in and say hello. Been riding for forty years but just bought my first Harley Davidson, a 2009 XL1200C, not the fastest, not the quickest, not even the best handling bike I have ever owned, but the smile hasn't left my face for the last 7000+ miles. I can't put it into words, and I would bet I'm not alone. I do have a question, I have the 4.5 gallon tank with the raised chrome strip down the center of the tank, just can't seem to get used to it. Any way to remove this without doing damage to the paint or the tank itself? This may not be the right forum for this posting and if not I'll say sorry and it won't happen again, but would really like to get a nice tank bib and get rid of the rib, thanks for any information.
