My husband surprized me this Christmas with a 2009 Electra Glide Classic. It's a beautiful two-toned blue and silver. The previous owner added a lot of extras too, Mustang seat with backrest, tourpack rack, screaming eagle pipes, extra chrome here and there and some kind of air rider system? Not too educated about that. However.........I wanted an Ultra. Does anyone know how much it would cost to add the CB function with the switch and whatever else is necessary. I also really wanted the security feature with the key fob. Oh well, at least I have a really nice Harley. Now it's too cold to ride.
Welcome aboard. I just got my new Ultra Classic last week. You think it's cold in Florida, come ride in Maryland today, 24 degrees with winds gusting to 35mph. Dover. Fl is showing 49 degrees and 8mph breeze and suny. Sheesh that's a nice spring day in March here.
Really though, enjoy the bike. I thought the CB was part of the audio system, at least it is on my 2011 UC. You just need to plug in the headset/mic which if the old owner didn't pass on maybe you can ask him for it. If not imc moto sells the headset/mic for aboout $80.
If you two are looking for a communications system to each other I suggest checking out the Scala systems, they are easy to use and pretty good reception. No affiliation to them, just like the product.
Yes indeed it is too cold to ride. I can't even ride to work to show everyone. We crackers aren't used to this weather. It will be 77 this weekend and I will ride then. About the CB, only the Ultra has that. I used the J&M and ram mounts on my old bike but I really wanted to get away from that. I'll go by Harley after work and see what it will take to put that on the bike. I will post some pictures later.
