Wahl, ah figgered ah'd sneak in an' kinda look around a bit......
Little 'bout us. Been ridin' since ah wuz 12, first wuz an old Indian ah swapped fer haulin' hay. From thar, it's been a bit of everything - usually whatever ah could afford at the time. Had an old hardtail chopper back in the mid-70's, but that wuz the last H-D product. From there, it's been various flavors of Honda, Kawasaki an' even a short dance with a Yamaha.
Started with Wings in '96, an' since then ah've managed ta log a tad over 200,000 miles on 'em. Love the handlin' and the reliability until the 1800 came along. My issues with it have made me look around again, and frankly I've never been able ta git the love of a twin-lunged engine outta mah bloodstream - so we're lookin' at the '07 Ultra. Local dealer is havin' Demo's in a few weeks, so we'll go test ride one an' see what we think.
Yeah - it's a "we" decision - mah better half had never been on a bike until we met, but since then (1998) we've vacationed exclusively on our bike. She's done 1,000 mile days with me, an' isn't the least hesitant to doze off while on the road.
For now, ah'm gonna kinda lay back an' listen an' probe - ah'll try ta keep the stupid questions to a minimum
. In certain circles on this ol' net, ah'm kinda known fer givin' yankees a hard time - but it's all in fun, so iffen ah pop off with somethin' ya take offense to, please remember that ah'm jest funnin'. Iffen yer still mad after that, drop me a line an' we'll talk 'bout it!
One other thang - some folks claim ah have an accent. Iffen you'll read mah stuff phonetically, you'll likely find it's easier ta figger out.
