Evo valve train noises

Ok hate to admit it but i got distracted and left my 1998 rk classic idling in the garage approx 20 minutes.i have a squeeling sound in the top end when the engine warms up.it also seems to be running hotter with the creeking sound it makes cooling off.does anyone out there have any ideas what this might be?im hoping it may be a rocker shaft binding.i do not want to tear into myself if it may be more than that.
