I bought a 2007 Ultra Classic on Sept 20 on my wifes birthday Happy Birthday Darling! I waited about 2 months for the bike to come in Fire Red Pearl/Black Pearl paid $22000 out the door and they took my metric in trade. My first Harley and I'm very very impressed with the bike's handling, fit, finish are top quality love the ride and all the storage and my wife just Loves it too! She acutally went from " You want a Harley don't you? I don't want to hear to talk about it just let me think on it" to "call today and see if our bike is here yet! I can't hardley wait anymore!" 
I haven't really noticed any transmission noise but it is hotter than what I'm used to, bought some Kury heat shields and I'll change the air intake (Doherty Machine) pipes (Rhinehart Tru Duels) and fuel management (Terry Components) at about 5000 miles I have 1074 and just got the 1000 service done with full synthetic oil and I have noticed the difference in the overall bike after the service. Grins and ***** every time I get on it!
