Hello everyone. My name is Rich (Dickard), just bought a 99 Sportster. Wanted a Harley all of my life and finally bought one. Ive been riding for 15+ years, on sportbikes, I am 40 and my wild side has been overcome by my better judgement. My wife always wanted to go on runs with everyone but she was uncomfortable on a sportbike.
We are both loving life now, plus I dont have to embarrass all of my friends on American iron when I ride my Gixxer with them? HA HA.
Looking forward to learning more about the maintenance and tricks/tweeks on her, glad to be here.

How you doing Dickard? Welcome to the Forums from Melbourne Australia. I will be in PA late next month heading west to Sturgis so if you see another Harley while you're out riding, wave. it's probably me.

MLR28 - I cant swing Sturgis this year, hopefully next. Hope you enjoy your ride through PA, beautiful country, great 2 lane roads going through farm land, along the Juniata and Susquehanna rivers, and through the mountains.
Hooah09 - Take care of yourself over there, a buddy of mine just got back from Afghanistan, still have one buddy there. Thanks for serving from an Army vet.
