Hello from San Diego...
Thanks for letting me join your forum...I've been reading and enjoying for some time while looking for a Harley...
Now that I've bought one, I had a problem on my maiden ride and wanted to post a question, but thought I should come here first and introduce myself...
My name is Joe, I'm 51 years old, and I live in the San Diego, California area...The weather here is almost always good for riding and there are a lot of riders in this area...I'm an average family man and was married (unhappily) for 22 years, but stayed while I raised my children...I've always wanted a Harley, but with all the responsibilities of the family, I never had the resources to make it happen...Now my kids are grown & married, I divorced the stupid ex (finally), and now I'm re-married to a wonderful woman (very happily)...
I saved some money and a couple of weeks ago bought a very nice 1994 Harley-Davidson FLHTCU Ultra-Classic-Electra-Glide full-dress touring bike...The Harley has 72,000 miles, but the engine was rebuilt about 10,000 ago, and upgraded with Edelbrock Heads, a Mikuni Carb, an Andrews Cam, Hot Wire Ignition, and Screaming Eagle Exhaust...I know there are also a lot of cosmetic upgrades but Im still not sure yet which is stock or aftermarket
Im not a big poster, dont really have the knowledge yet, but I love reading the threads
Thanks again for allowing me to be part of your community,
Joe
Try a local indy shop, for a few dollars, they could to a once over to check it out and let you know what is stock or aftermarket. Or for a lotta dollars the HD shop. Either way you could get it checked out for your peace of mind .
