I have been reading up on here for a while, and I should start by thanking everyone for the the great advice and suggestions that are posted on this forum. I have not only learned a lot about modifications and after market parts, but I have also picked up a few tips on how to ride as safe as possible. I recently took a MSF class and got my motorcycle license. I bought a 2011 Iron 883 in August and I couldn't be happier. This is my first bike and I am very happy with the decision that I made. I have been having a great time riding since I bought the bike. I have wanted to ride for a while, but I have been able to put it off due to fear that I will kill myself....I am 24.
I have to say that taking the MSF class was a great decision. They were able to teach things that I would never have learned on my own or by riding with others. The time that you spend on the basics of riding really help a new rider to understand the bike. It forces you to spend the time practicing skills that would not have been practiced on my own.
I look forward to learning more from you all and hopefully contributing in the future.

You did the correct thing by taking the MSF course. Enjoy your bike and maybe we'll cross paths sometime.
