Hi everyone - I just joined the forum (just found it!) and thought I'd introduce myself. I've been riding since 1965, bought my Sportster in 1990. It's a 1983 XLX that I've brought back from years of neglect and outside storage. It was a rusty mess when I bought it, and had been painted red. Here's a few pics of it I took this summer after finishing the resto-mod. Lots of nice, original parts from eBay, and some new custom parts from various sources. I've taken just about the whole bike (except the bottom end) apart at one time or another, and know it like a book. My Avatar is me in 1971 on a Honda (hope that's not a dirty word here) 350 chopper I built. Old school!
