Like the title says, I'm a new guy in Iowa, lots of good riding out here suprisingly, but we have to deal with Winter.
I've been riding on and off, mostly off, for about 10 years now. This past August, I bought my first HD after previously riding a Suzuki and Yamaha. I decided a Sportster would be my best bet to get back into riding, and made a deal with a seller on Craigslist for a completly stock 2006 1200C with 3000 miles on it. Being able to pay cash was a big factor in going with the Sportster.
About me: I'm 36, and have 2 younger kids, so I don't ride a much as I'd like to, I put most of my miles on during my 40 mile (each way) commute to work. I'm a big fan of metal music, and work as a Solidworks mechanical designer. I live in Clinton Iowa, originally from Savanna Illinois, and spent my younger (elementry/Jr. High years) in the village of Johnsburg Illinois.
