Hey all, Just checkin in to say hi. Im a life long enthusiast with a few hundred thousand miles under my belt. Ive used this forum for years as a wonderful resource when ive had issues with my previous bikes. Well, time to be active, cuz Ive traded in my carburated for F.I. and I got me a few questions. Im fixing to retire this coming June, and as soon as I do, im hitting the road for a solid year! Was a dream of ours since we were teenagers to tour the open roads of America, and although my wife has past on, Im still going to fulfill our biggest quest. I can hardly wait, been saving to do this for nearly 20 years! Thanks in advance for all the good info I'm hoping to get, Im looking forward to becoming part of the community!

Welcome , best advice is just to sit back and enjoy the ride. stop when you want push on when you want. I traveled alot outside of the States when i was in the Navy, but my dream is like yours to travel our country when i retire, and do alot before i retire too. so much to see, and if you got the money and time and the bike then thats all you really need. Good luck and have fun.
