Just my .02 but put a lower seat on the Road King (you'll probably want to change it out anyhow), find some bars that fit you right and put the miles on! IMHO - NOTHING does miles better than a tourer!
I rented a RK in Sedona a few years back, and although the bike and the ride was great I am only 5'7", so leg length was a small but apparent issue.
Any motorcycle can be altered to fit you. Handlebar, risers, foot rests, front and rear heights, the seat, or any combination might make the Road King more comfortable for you. Whatever you choose, it's important that you feel at ease and in control while riding.
Thanks for all the input and welcomes. This has become one of my more scrutinized, thought about, pulled apart and put back together decisions ever. Thanks again for the input.
