I'm new here and pretty new to Harleys in general. I'm used to sports bikes and supermoto but have always fancied a Harley. I'd only ridden one once, across South Africa on a VRod we got for my Dad....until today!
I was planning on getting a 1200 sportster and a hardtail frame. Today I went to a dealership and rode a 1200...I wasn't too impressed. I was very disappointed but knew it wasn't going to be quick enough to keep me interested. I was then offered a ride of a Dyna Fat Bob. Now that was more like it!!! So now I think I'll go down the Dyna route and reign in my customisation ideas...for now! I'm thinking of a Wide Glide with Vance and hines, stage 1, flater bars and risers, wider pegs and maybe a custom rear fender mounted to the swingarm so it sit low to the tyre.
Look forward to learning a lot from this board.
Any advice welcome!
