Introduction
I've been lurking this site for quite some time, I did not consider myself to be truly eligible until about one year ago when I aquired my first ever Harley, a 1989 FLHS.
Like me it's older, a bit beat up, but also like me it get's up and get's going everytime it needs to.
I've had my MC license for a long time (45 years.) I rode a lot from my teen years on into my 30's. Which then tapered off as my family grew and I pursued my career. I sometimes went for years without riding at all.
At that time I believed it the right thing to do, Family and work became first, my wants didn't matter. But as I am finding out about so many things, this too was wrong.
I have been following the Goings-on in this site for a while, and feel that I know many of you, but lately I've been feeling guilty about not returning the courtesy.
Short Essentials for now, I'm sure that more will come out over time.
I'm a long time resident in the Rochester, N.Y. area. Long career as a Mechanical Engineer in Manufacturing, which means that like many others I have been unemployed for a while (Over 2 years.), currently without a partner (Also over 2 years), and at least for now it's going to stay that way because as TwiZted recently pointed out "It's good until the flying monkeys appear." This last one took a toll on me, and I need a break.
So with all that in mind I'm taking some time out from the corporate/couple life that I long followed, and am taking the time to see who and what I want to be when I grow up.
I've started by checking off an item on my bucket list, and have acquired that "Long ride Harley, before I kick the bucket."
I've learned a lot already on this forum, and also the EVO forum, and have a lot of questions that I am sure that many of you can help me with.
But for now, again HELLO, I'm looking forward to being a regular here, first as a "sponge" and hopefully later as a contributor.
