Hello,
Welcome to the forum. Regardless of whether you’re a new rider or you’re someone with decades behind them, there is always something new to learn. There is a massive amount of information available on this forum. If there is something you are looking for just ask, there are many people here that willingly share their knowledge and experience.
Thanks again to everyone. I see this forum gets a lot of action, which is never a bad thing. Maybe I'll go to Hardley Davidson today and sit on a few bikes. I know whatever bike I get, I will be getting some 12"-16" apes. Other then that, it would depend on what bike I get to figure out the upgrades I would like to do. By the looks of it, I will be learning a lot from this site.
About "Ride For Dad", my uncle died of cancer a couple years back and his son owns a bike (Kawasaki Ninja). He's been on a couple of them and has talked about it a lot. I will be joining as soon as I get a bike and am comfortable with doing a long trip like that.
My father-in-law also loves Harley's so all he talks about is Sturgis. So, I'll probably see most of you there one of these years.
Welcome from Germany. Maybe determine what you expect from the bike (kind of riding you expect to do), and check the internet for one of the Harley Davidson dealer DEMO Rides events they schedule, and take a couple for a test ride. Looks is just one aspect, ride and fit are important as well, but good start to reading the posts here, lots of stuff to sift through. Good Luck.
