Hey all. I have yet to get a bike but each day that goes by is 1 less day I have to wait till I can get a bike. I have never owned a HD but have always liked them (who hasn't?). I'm not 100% sold on any type right now. I have to go into a dealer and sit on a few to see what one I like best.
So far I am leaning toward a fatboy right now, but who knows. I can't wait to get into it and start making it my own.
Where I live, there are only a few months of nice weather, so there is very limited riding here.
Well, time to do some more research. See you all around.
Welcome to the Forum from Land Between the Lakes Tennessee, just west of Music City USA!!
Try the Heritage Softail on for size, very similar to the Fatboy, but you get bags, backrest for any passengers, and a windshield. Make the backrest removable and you can take off the windshield, it's a quick release, and Viola' you have a Fatboy, basically. I love making mine a dresser with all the stuff, and then after a week or two, take it all off for cruising around town.
Thanks. It seems each day I learn something new about Harley Davidson's. There are a few FXR's around here for a pretty decent price. I'm about 5'11" on a tall day and weigh 200lbs (not a fat 200 but not a strong 200, I just have a lot of weight), so I am trying to figure out what would be best for me.
I just can't wait for the freedom of being on a bike. I've never owned a bike before and only rode a dirt bike so I have a lot to learn.
