Because a grown man deserves a grown bike...
As my little sister says, "That's an old man bike!" My reply, because a grown *** man deserves a grown as bike.
I say, after a short (8yr) active duty stint as a Battery Operated Grunt (USMC), established careers in the IT/Operations Management field, and the Automotive field as a Technician and Trainer, I then did the stay-at-home gig for 8yrs. With my family of 5 (3 children) well established I decided it was time to get back to the corporate world.
So I finally treated myself to a deserving ride. After 2 rice rockets in my early years I knew that it was time for some American Iron.
