New from Texas
I've been riding for 40 some odd years now. Started on a little Honda 185 Twinstar that I made look like a baby Harely complete with fairing, saddlebags and tote box. Put a little over 4,500 miles on it and upgraded to a Honda 400 Hawk that I dressed out the same. Put 68,000+ miles on it and finally traded up to my first Harley. An 85 Electra Glide and proceeded to put 63,000+ miles on it. Got a bug about BMW's and traded the glide for BMW K100LT and proceeded to put 66,000+ miles on it until my wife had a wreck on her bike so we both stopped riding. I couldn't take any more and got a 2008 Honda VTX 1300 R and fully dressed it out again. I'd still be riding it but I totaled it on a rain slick rode after just 2,500+ miles. That was in January of this year so just this last Friday, after only being out of a wheel chair for a little over 4 weeks, I had to get back on the horse and bought/rode home a 2007 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Figured if I was going to kill myself I may as well do it on something comfortable. So that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
