a few weeks ago i relocated (back) to arizona from colorado, and as i was out to lunch on a sunday afternoon i walked by a rather striking motorcycle that turned out to be a hd sportster nightster.
what is unusual about this is that prior to this point i've never been drawn to a hd. i've ridden several makes/models but this bike had several key qualities that attracted me including the retro/urban cruiser style, and the size of the bike overall.
intrigued, i went to a local dealer to take a closer look and that's when i saw the hd sportster forty-eight in chrome yellow. i loved the look of this even more, and i had to take a ride.
one short ride later, i was sold.
so, here i am in a new state only a couple of weeks and i'm already trading out my ride for a brand-new hd sportster forty-eight in chrome yellow and i couldn't be happier. i love this bike!
in my zest for information i ran across this forum (and a few others) and wanted to jump in and say hello to everyone. i plan to take a slow-and-steady approach to upgrades, preferring to investigate options and make an informed decision on which upgrades i pursue.
nonetheless, i'll probably lurk and eavesdrop on the many threads and chime in from time to time with questions, or even my own thoughts as i gain background and experience with hd.
as for pics - well, i don't have one of my particular bike as yet but i'll post one up when that task gets checked-off.
With all the fires up in CO, i bet its just as hot as down here
my wife's back up in denver this week and she's said it's really hot for this early in the year, but the smoke in the front-range area is terrible and makes the heat seem even worse.
it's been a rough year for fires in colorado already - they have to catch a break at some point, don't they?
anyway, my thoughts are with those impacted and affected by the fires.
