Hello all I am brand new to the motorcycle world I have been in the military the past 6 years but now that I am out I decided to get into it. My dad has always had a bike but i was never allowed to ride one. But with my new job. I work for HD shop lol. I went and I just got my first Harley last week I bought a 2012 forty eight its tue only bike I can sit on and he flat footed that has the 1200 motor. Its Chrome yellow and black with phython exhaust. I had it delevered to my place and I haven't taken it out yet. Yes i know shame on me. But i want to go to the DMV riding class before i take my own bike out. I heard its not hard to learn to ride. I have been looking through parts books on my days off trying to decide what partd i want to put on my bike already. My old man says I already have the fever. I can't wait to start riding. Oh and My boss said I need to earn my bell. Does anyone know what he meant?

My dad rode Harley's when I was a kid. I remember riding on the back of his bikes. I finished up the MSF class a couple months ago. You will learn a lot. Not just basic riding skill stuff but also information-wise. Lots of stuff I never thought to think about regarding safety, etc..
I think the bell refers to a good-luck bell that is placed on the under-carriage, if I am not mistaken.
