You'll get lots of answers on your question. Harbor Frieght, Sears, etc all sell motorcycle jacks for under $200. I used to own one, but every time I put my $17000 bike on a $150 lift, I wondered if I was being smart. So, to quit worrying, I bought a Pit Bull Lift and have never looked back. The pit bull is worth the extra money. Don't skimp on something that is holding your bike a foot in the air.
New member. Just purchased a 2011 fat boy and am looking to purchase a good motorcycle jack at a decent price. Any help would be appreciated.
Welcome to the forum ! There will be lots of opinions, but after years of using "cheap" jacks, I finally popped for a J&S ! Awesome jack, very stable, worth every penny ! Don't cheap out on the jack: you may pay for it in damage to the bike. Just my .02 worth
I've got a Harley jack. Cost is around 400.00. It's a crank type, so there's no bottle jacks to ever go bad and it's rock solid when it's in the air. I got mine from my Dad when he traded his two wheeler in for a trike. If I had to spend the money out of my own pocket I'd probably have gotten either the Pitbull or the J & S. They've both got impeccable reputations from the guys on here and I don't think you could go wrong with either.
