New rider from IL.
Just got my '02 Fatboy about a week ago, it's my first bike. It's got 18" apes on it, which hit me just below my shoulders, they seem a little tall and i have problems turning right from a full stop i always seem to drift into the left lane. should i change the bars for something shorter or is this something i'll learn to do better the more i'll ride?

Looks like Legacy in Effingham. I live south of Mt. Vernon, Il, but visit Legacy often. My little buddy put a set of 18 inch bars on his Deluxe and had the same problem as you. Changed them out for 16's and rode for a few months before putting 18's back on. Said he had an easier time the second time the 18's were on. I guess i'm saying you might get used to them, but, i would put shorter ones on til i got used to the bike.
