Joined the forum as I'm trying to learn about Harleys. I have been lurking here and have learned the models and I'm really impressed with the touring models with the 6 speeds. These new ones are not your fathers motorcycle. . My 5'2" wife wants a new bike to replace her metric and she wants ABS. We went to the HD dealership and I was very impressed with the way they can adapt the bikes to fit smaller women. The Dyna Switchback really fit her well. She was hesitant to take a ride on a brand new bike with out crashbars so I'm trying to figure out a way to get those installed at the dealer. Got to be a way. I'm in the marine industry in South Florida and own a few bikes now and do most all of my own work. Even plug in the laptop and load tunes and stuff but I mainly keep my bikes stock and spend more time riding than doing mods. I starting riding about 10 years ago. My current bikes are Thunderbird 1600 and a Kawasaki Vulcan 900. So for now mostly going to lurk around and read the posts and get a feel for the forum and what it's like to own a Harley. I promise not to get involved with any octane, oil or darkside wars while here.
