Anybody know of a great service deal...Im due for my service on my Street Bob and its Christmas. Its going to cost me almost three hundred bucks to have the Dealer tighten everything up and do a once over on my ride. I can see paying for the oil change and tire pressure but am i the only one that thinks it should be checked gratis...i mean thier checking it out to see if all the nuts and bolts are tight from the factory!!!
Get a service manual and do it yourself. Just keep all your reciepts and you will be good. There is nothing to difficult about the service and it is damn sure not worth $300.00.
Welcome from the Mojave desert. Well, they do wash yer ride for you as part of the service... I had the dealer do the first service and fix a couple little things.

Welcome. I was lucky the dealer gave me the first service for free when i bought my bike.
I agree with the others that said to buy a service manual, it really is the best $60.00 or so you will spend on yourself and your ride.
I also bought the parts manual, it is great for showing how things go together, and it helps to have the part numbers when ordering parts, if I look the numbers up myself before I go to the dealer I know i'm getting the part I want.
