want to swap out the stock head pipes w/cat. to a set of 2009 w/out cat, From my understanding these are the exact same head pipes but w/out the cat. and are the o2 sensor bungs in the same place on these years. Already have the 4" rineearts but haven't put them on yet.
Hello Chaz and Welcome to the HDForums. Do a google search for (HDforums.com Cat removal) and you will see several post on how to remove the one you have for free or next to free. But yes, there are people that will sell you some already done with the same stock configuration. Usually these were stock headers that someone removed the cat for.
2009 head pipe has different sized sensors AND in a different location (close to the cylinder heads). People put on the '09s to use the Thundermax tuner on the '10s and up, like I did.
If you want a catless header only, get one for your year so the sensors match up to the correct location (near your right heel). You can modify yours, but I suggest a replacement so you can keep your original part.
