Hey all, new member here. My name is Nic. I'm not new to riding, but new to the Harley world. I've been riding dirt/sportbikes for the better part of 20 years, but I've come to the point where my speed demon days are behind me and I just want to cruise and enjoy the ride in some comfort and style.
I currently own a 2009 Yamaha R6, but as soon as my tax return gets to me, I'm selling her and buying a new Harley. I've been doing a lot of homework and have narrowed my choices down, but I'm still a little torn on between the Wide Glide and the Fat Boy.
Hopefully I'll glean some info from this place to make my decision.
Anyway, just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. Hope to talk to you soon.
Yeah, I initially gravitated towards the Dynas and the Wide Glide in particular because that is more my style, but my concern there is that skinny front tire tracking in cracks/grooves in the road. If the Super Glide Custom came with the 103 and fwd controls I think I would be all over it. The Fat Bob fits that criteria, but I'm not sold on the styling. That's when I started looking at the Softails and the Fat Boy/Fat Boy Lo.
Just gotta figure out what feels better underneath me.
