My new fatbob is a great mc but ...I am in the process of customizing it an have run against is,that i want to powder coat the wheels an it has 7 square weights on the front an 5 on the rear.. these are not very sightly an i wonder what is the need? are the tires not round or are the wheels not round? an what to do about it..this is a 2013 an has only 3000 miles on it..any ideas..
Can you describe the square weights you speak of? If they are decoration then I'm sure they arent needed but most of the things that come on the wheels are necessary.
They are balance weights, it is nearly impossible to make wheels and tires perfectly balanced! Leave them or ask a shop about the different types that look better..... Unless you are not fond of your fillings and want them shaken out of your head.
