G'day. I'm Mike, a life long rider from 15, just bought a U.S.-delivered used-import 2007 Street Bob a fortnight ago.
This is my second Harley, my first was a '96 Wide Glide I bought 2 years old all blinged out with only 1500km on it. We had some fun times once I got to trust that skinny wheel way out there in front...
I lost that in a divorce three years later, and I went back to the products of Nippon, whence I had come.
Eventually hard work and frugal living brought H-D back into the realms of financial possibility. My tastes had turned to an older, darker look, so Jim-Bob, for he surely is a good ol' boy, joined the garage.
He's replaced Brutus, my '99 Honda police bike, as my daily commute.
I've got some great roads making loops through the hinterlands for the weekend or more, and after a quick couple of hundred miles (U.S.A. odo) last weekend, there's a little sorting to do, but I'm looking forward to revisiting some old favourites with Jim-Bob.
Can't take the smile from my dial...
I've been reading these forums as a visitor for a while, and some of the stuff here is just gold.
Looking forward to getting to know my new friend better with the help of new friends here.
