New member new Harley rider I just purchased a brand new 883Low 2012 had 100 miles on it. After a 35 year hiatus from riding this is my 3rd bike. Long story short my daughter purchased the bike took the ABATE class. She did well and completed the course. Dumped the bike the first day..Now scared to death to ride. I purchased a Honda Rebel last year. Got my licence endorsement last year. Been riding the heck out of the rebel but was wanting something more.
She had been trying to get me to buy the 883 but I did not want it. She made me a deal I could NOT refuse. So this was as much a family decision as it was a " I want another bike" I had my heart set on a Heritage Soft tail. But I'm riding the 883 and lovin it what a great bike. I'm sure many of you have children that you have had to help out. So you know how I feel about this.. It's all working out.

2012 Red 883L
I was away from bike for 30+ years myself. And I was worried when I first started riding, mostly because it seemed that my Blackline was about 200lbs. heavier than my '75 bike. I know it's a ton better and cost 3x as much!
