Default Rode it home!

I bought my first Harley 12 days ago, but I didn't have my motorcycle license at the time and had some mods I wanted done to the exhaust. So I was in waiting mode... Signed up for the Rider's Edge class, which I completed over the weekend. Got my M rating on my license today.

Coincidently, my bike was ready and they wanted to deliver it. I said, oh hell no! I'm riding off the lot. 25 miles home on my virgin Harley ride. It was 100 degrees here in South Texas and the wind was blowing, but it was perfect to me.

The only thing I noticed that I didn't like is the windshield edge hits right at eye level, which distorts my view and it's a bit distracting. I'm kinda tall at 6'3", so I'm wondering if I need a slightly taller one.

I am 6'3" also. I doubt the windshield is at eye level if you sit straight up. Don't hunch forward, it will cause backaches. Check your shadow when riding perpendicular to Sun.
Never underestimate the stupidity of cagers, and ride like you are invisible.:
Welcome.

Welcome.
Thanks, Ron. Good advice.

I actually tried adjusting my position, and unless I sit military style straight with my chin up, the top of the windshield bisects my vision plane. I can hunch down and get below it, but that's really uncomfortable. My sales guy said he's got a windshield option for me, so I'll see what he has to say.

Thanks again.
