Excessive bobbing on a Bobber

I own a 2009 Cross Bones done about 8500 miles now, had the springer service done and recently experienced an excessive bobbing action on the front forks. The road wasn't exactly smooth but this was a lot more than expected. Anybody had a similar experience? Would'nt like to get rid of the bike as it is a fantastic ride.
