Default New member/owner question

Awaiting delivery of my FLHRSI and need to know what to purchase first besides the obvious safety items and customizing options. Things like battery charger, K&N style filters....I would much rather start dressing her up but don't want to be without the necessitys.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

David

Welcome to the forum David, I think the first place to start is a battery tender. After that you could do a stage 1 air cleaner and some mufflers like the SE II give you a nice sound. You'll need a download for these items or a TFI fuel enrichment unit instead. This will give you the adjustability instead of a canned map from the dealer. http://www.techlusion.com/

I would recommend a factory manual as your first "accessory". Post pics of your ride when you can.

I have to agree with Mac, get the service manual first and start doing your own wrenching. I'm not big on pipes and hot rods, so I can't help you much there. If you live where you can ride year round, you should not need a battery tender. But if you have to store the bike in the wintertime, then it's a good idea. Welcome to the forum and enjoy the ride!

Welcome to the forums from the Arizona Highlands. Don't know about a battery charger you living in Cave Creek, AZ and all. If you'll be driving the scoot regularly it will not be necessary..., except maybe for your cage. The usual first upgrades are: SE Stage 1 air filter or K&N air cleaner, remap, and SE II slipons or equvalent from V&H or Rinehart or Ride shack or Super Trap or ...
