Hello,
I have been lurking on here since around 2009 I feel like I know some of you . I have learned about decatting the head pipe and compensator problems and many other things. My story: in my late teens and early twenties I rode a Suzuki 450 with a little hottie that I was dating. Ended up marrying the little hottie sold the bike and bought a washer and dryer (dumbest thing I ever u did). Well little hottie enjoyed riding too so we said someday we will get us a Harley. Fast forward 20 plus years and 4 kids later, I had a stroke in 2009. While laying in the hospital bed I looked at my wife who isn't so little anymore but still a hottie and I said it's time. She knew what I was referring to. I wanted a Heritage, but my wife liked the big backseat of the Ultra Classics. Four kids tends to spread a woman out a little bit.
I began saving every dime I could scrape together. I don't think I ate lunch at work for over a year. In April of 2012, I became the proud owner of a black 2012 Ultra Classic ( I know black is the fastest color). I got on that monster and rode it like I had never quit riding. By the time I got it home 20 plus years of rust had fallen off. Wifey jumped on the back and we were teenagers again. This past Summer I decatted the head pipe, a friend if mine gave me a used set of Bassani 4 inch megaphones and I installed xied's. No more heat and sounds like a Harley should. This Summer I am going to get a more free flowing breather and maybe a power vision from Fuelmoto, if funds will allow otherwise the xied's are doing fine. Well, anyway I finally decided to join the forum. Thanks for letting me eavesdrop all these years.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
