I've been riding bikes since I was a kid, inspired by seeing trial riders and scramblers competing up my local woods when I was young. I've not yet had a trials bike but have owned motocross bikes, big trailies and sportsbikes. When my local pub got a new landlord (rip Kev) about 6-7 years ago I was pleased to hear that he was a biker. Over the next few years I met quite a few of the local Harley & chopper riders and after being invited out for a few rides it became obvious that my zx10r wasn't the bike to cruise with these guys.
I'd always liked Harleys but being a bit of a speed freak with not much spare money I'd always stuck to cheaper, faster Jap bikes. Last year after a pay rise I managed to fork out for a dyna wide glide and was immediately and surprisingly impressed by it. I didn't need to go at 3 figure speeds to enjoy it and found myself smiling every time I rode it. After the normal stage one treatment, my list of things I wanted to do to it became quite long (read expensive) and that's when I saw the breakout. I figured that the amount of cash I was going to drop on the wide glide would be better served being put towards a breakout. It arrives at the beginning of Feb. Don't get me wrong I've already got a pretty long list of mods I want to do to it but couldn't resist the softies look.
Anyway, I've read quite a few posts on this forum which as helped me learn quite a bit more about Harleys and it seems like a knowledgeable community so thought it was about time I signed up!
