Hello all... Just thougth i would introduce myself. My name is Justin, i just bought my first Harley a could weeks ago. Bought a '14 HD Iron 883 in Black Denim. Love it so far! Definetly want to order some pipes for it soon! Way to quiet for me! Was thinking Vance and Hines shortshots in black. Im not familiar with the new bikes but do i need to tune for the exhaust? Ive read on here and a few other places that i should be ok without, but as i do an air filter/breather then i do need to tune for it. Whats your opinion on it?
Welcome from Bristol, CT ....its going to be a good weekend for riding up here
No you probably don't need a tuner if you just replace the exhaust.....That said, having a proper tune brings the engine to life no matter what you have installed.
Welcome to the forum! There is a lot of debate on here around pipe upgrades, tuners and intake. I personally decided to just upgrade all three on my Street Bob.
