Hi my name is tom from anaheim, ca. I started riding on road motorcycles about year ago with a yamaha vstar 1100. I just bought a 2012 heritage classic so I decided to join these forums. My wife and I have been up to Hearst castle and as far south as San Diego and are looking go on some longer rides in the future.
You'll love the Heritage, Had ours going on 8 yrs and I do several week long trips a yr..
they IMO are the best over all bike MoCo make,, but you have to love the leather and spots.....

My brother lives in Anaheim as well. Has an blue and black 08 Ultra. I think he joined the Fullerton chapter of HOG. Been on a few good rides with those folks.
