Hello fellow riders- I just picked up a 2013 Breakout and will be needing some advice / guidance on upgrades etc (you know how it goes...)
I'm a long time rider but have only had Evo bikes- I also have a 2001 Big Dog FXR style chopper that is an absolute beast (107 built motor, 120hp/130tq, 595lb bike, handles like a sport bike).
I picked up the breakout as a bit more tame option for weekend cruises with the missus. Enjoying the bike but need a bit more grunt, and the rear suspension is a bit bouncy / stiff. cornering clearance is not the greatest but I sort of expected that. Anyway she's a beauty and I think she'll be perfect if I can up the TQ in the 2000-4000 range and smooth out the suspension. Of coure anything I do has to be kosher with HD warranty.
Here's some pics- removed reflectors, PM custom front wheel, HD knurled grips / pegs, powdercoated black rear fender struts, custom gunmetal metallic paint by House of Kolor. SE intake, VH radius pipes. that's pretty much it so far. no tuner or cams installed (don't know what to get).
