even'n folks, i have looked this forum over several times in the past and have decided to join, i mostly ride older bikes, like a shovelhead stroker and a 1939 ULH big twin flathead, i also have a 1999 FLHT STD that was just hit by a buick, hence my reason for joining, i have several questions per interchange of parts to repair my dresser, the swing arm is snapped off at the axle and i plan on some later model upgrades in this area. this bike has 110k+ miles on it. transmission swing arm boss may be broke too so transmission case options may come into play. so after a month i can walk with a cane and expect to recover in the months to come. smashed up dislocated shoulder broken hip and twisted knee, i belong to several other HD forums and go by the name Mark59, i was unable to use that name here. hope to be able help others where i can and get some hard facts on what fit what on the FLHT platform

I know the feeling! 4 months ago a pickup truck ran a stop sign in the dark and we collided. Broken shoulder, cracked sternum, 2 broken ribs and four more in my right foot. I bought the bike back from salvage and am rebuilding my S/E Road Glide into a 'sightly modified' Road King. There's lots of good advice here, particularly on the swingarm upgrades.

So we'll both get back on the road! Welcome to the forum Mark!
