Hello everyone, I am new to the "Forum" scene but not new to ridin. Started out a zilliun miles back with a '79 shovelhead. Still have it too !!! Recently traded the '99 road king for an '07 EG classic. Don't always have a lot of time to spend on the PC (too busy workin or ridin) but like to chat when I can.
There is a group of us (4-6 guys) that take a week long trip every year. This brings me to a guestion. We are planning on a trip down to the Gulf of Mexico. (We are from Iowa.) We plan on leaving May 19th. In talking with a couple of people that have been thererecently (non riders) I have started to have some doubts about safety and security. We had planned on hitting the Gulf along the LA./TX border and heading east to New Orleans & then north to MS. Idon't want to offend any southerner's but I have heard nothing but horror stories about the crime rate. Can any one give me good solid info I can trust??? Thanks in advance & hope to chat when I can. Dahog
