Will a set of spoked wheels from a 2012 Dyna Glide Custom fit my 2002 Dyna Superglide ? The rear wheel on the 2012 bike is 17 x 4.5 wheras the wheel on my bike is 16 inch one. The front wheels look to be the same size. Thanks.
Hi Jez from elsewhere in the UK and welcome to HDF. I can't give you a definitive answer, but I'll try to help. As this is a Dyna query, it may be worth asking again in the Dyna section, where you'll get more views, hence probably more and better informed replies.
That 4.5"x17" 2012 wheel will only take two tyre sizes that I know of, a 160/70 or 170/60. The 160 is almost as wide as your rear mudguard, the 170 about the same width! So that wheel with a tyre on it isn't going to bolt in without a fight.
In addition the later wheels have 25mm bearings, while yours has probably 1" both ends, possibly 3/4" at the rear. It may be possible to swap bearings in the '12 wheels to the same as yours. If you want a quick answer, they won't bolt in. If you are prepared to solve a few problems and do a bit of mild customising, they can probably be made to fit.
