need help removing my front tire

Hey guys, im in a bit of a bind. First off got a new 21 wrap fender, and needed to fit it to the wheel and drill holes. Got three of the stock fender bolts off and then the last one was crimped around the bolt. So i started to take the front wheel off to uncrimp the bolt. I have the Paul Yaffe Yaxle installed, So i loosen the clamp bolts and took the axle cover off that side. Went to the other side and can't get the damn cover off. I think both covers come off and then i just push the axle out the clamp side. Can anyone confirm this, i can post pics if needed, i appreciate the help

With the wheel just off the ground, so there is no weight on it, you should be able to tap the axle out of the forks with a rubber mallet or something similar. It should move easily until the end of the axle is flush with the fork end, which will enable you to grip the other end of the axle and pull it out. Then you can size up getting off the other cover!
