remember, this is a cast wheel, NOT BILLET!!!
that said, there could be out gassing pockets that are opened up. safety is the issue, not that it can be done.
just because you stick your finger in a light bulb socket without recourse, does not mean that one day someone actually turn the power on.
the thing about cast is it can fisher. around here, rim shops will not touch a mc wheel.

If the vendor factory had no issue drilling this casting to 2 different diameters, then neither do I
