The Dunlop motorcycle tire website has information on their new V-Twin tire for HD, the American Elite2.
An aggressive, new tread pattern utilizes a 10% higher land-ratio in the middle of the tread to reduce heat generation, improve wear characteristics, and increase mileage.
Updated front and rear compounds offer enhanced wear resistance and wet-weather performance.
Incorporated with the new tread pattern, a 25% average increase in mileage has been achieved.
Made in Japan printed on the sidewall , at least you can trust Japanese quality better than many other places.
That would be cool. Sumitomo (manufacturer) had originally announced moving the series from their closed New York Plant to Thailand, along with Falken Truck Tires (earlier).
Maybe they found more capacity at a home country plant? Japanese mostly make high quality stuff these days.
Good afternoon,
I have always ran American Elites on my bikes and loved them. I installed a set of AE 2 on my bike 3k miles ago.
My riding style is a mix of hard twisties, highway and normal country riding. I can honestly say I really don’t notice my difference from the stock and AE2. I’m happy getting 15k miles out of a tire so time will tell.

Thanks for reporting. Does it say on the tire where they were made? What is the date code on the sidewall?
Finally, if you don't mind sharing, where did you find them?
