what does the hb mean on the size? Can I run a 130/80-17 that doesn’t have the hb on it? Sorry if this has been asked before I tried searching the forums but couldn’t find the answere.

I bypassd the "hb"and left you the following "advice" because it's the only information you really need and I've never seen a tire with the "hb" in the Size Code ... "B" yes, but "hb" No.

Did you physically see "hb" on your tire or did you just get the spec online? When I googled "130/80hb-17" the only thing that was relevant was a Dennis Kirk spec sheet below

I asked Dunlop about the "HB" and here was their reply ...

Thank you for contacting Dunlop Motorcycle Tires. I cannot answer your questions about what the H stands for as I don’t believe we offer a tire with those indication markings. We would offer a 130/80B17 65H, the 65 (639 lbs) being the load capacity and the H (130mph) being the speed rating.
If you can provide a pic of a "130/80hb-17" or "130/80HB17" on the tire, I would like to see it

@Coal-Train see post above ... Forgot to "Tag" in the above post and I don't believe it sends a PM msg if you add the "Tag" in a "Edit"
