Well, looked around at a few last night. Pirelli Scorpion, Metzeler CruiseTec, Michelin Commander 3, etc., decided on trying another AE2. Problem is, they have now become "unobtanium". Everyone is out of stock! So ended up with alternative number one, The Metzler ME888. It is supposed to come by Thursday of next week, and hope Ill get it installed that weekend. I hope this tire is as good or better the old AE2 that is on there now.

Your old tire is not AE2 its an AE.
Just had 2 installed. Coming off Avon cobras. They claim to be an improvement over the AE in performance and wear. We will see. Like the look of the tread and and got $75 back for a rebate. Rebate just ended so may explain why stock is low idk.
Youll be happy with the 888 as well.
Are they a bit softer than the Dunlops as far as ride? The stock Dunlops were hard as a rock, felt like I had no spring in the front end, so I swapped those out for the AE’s, which helped greatly. Now I have an AE2 in the back, but the front is time to change. .
They are an all-around improvement.
I’ve gone from stock tires to AE2s to ME888s on my dresser.
I’m currently on my fourth set of ME888s with many more in my future…. 😉
