whats the difference between the Dunlap 401 and the 402?
can you use a 402 in the front while using a 401 in the rear?
will a 150/80H-16 fit on the rear of an 07 softail Deluxe, there's a MU85HB-16 on there now,which I beleive is a 140/90-16.
I would like to go to the 150 on the rear if possible.
thanks for any inbut.
An MU85-16 is the same size as a 140/85-16, not a 140/90-16. An MT is a 130mm tire, an MM is a 100mm tire. But as far as sizing goes, every model tire seems to be different. If you look at a Dunlop 401 and 402 in the same size next to each other on the rack, the 402 will look bigger. An Avon Venom of the same size will look smaller. I can run a Dunlop 491 MU on the back of my bike, but a Dunlop 404 140 will rub.
I don't think it hurts to mix different tires, as long as they're both bias ply, and I don't think most people have a problem mounting a 150 on the back of a softail.
