Default 2007 FXDL Front Axle Spacers...

I've upgraded my front wheel to a 21", and the new hub is somewhat narrower. So here's my question. Would it be better to have the new S/S spacers 1/8" narrower on each side? Using the current ones, and torquing the axle nut and adjusting/tightening the cap, the front wheel has lost it's free spin. I've heard that some play with the spacers is fine, just not a lot of it. Thanks in advance.....

A follow-up. Reduced both spacers by 1/8" and all seems fine. Right side spacer spins free with no side-to-side movement. The rotor side spacer spins free with maybe a 1/16" of side-to-side movement. Everything is torqued to specs, so I'll go with that unless I hear different....
